About the Artist
Krysti Muccia is an Illustrator and Concept Artist based in Richmond, Virginia. She graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a BFA in Communication Arts in December 2021.
When she was younger, she would gleefully watch the behind-the-scenes footage of movie productions and discovered the impact of a good artist behind a project. Her current work explores the utility of portraits as an exploration of a subject's passion, interests, and underlying stories through careful visual motifs and aesthetics borrowed from Tarot imagery.
She hopes by sharing her creative process, that she may inspire those to pick up a creative outlet. And to those who are not quite on the art path they desire, she wants to show them that this is a field they can work in if they so desire.
